Some pieces of jewelry are special, whether because they’re gifts or family heirlooms or just remind you of the good times you’ve had while wearing it. Structural Upgrades
The reason for not wearing a ring might not be aesthetic. Loose prongs or worn out clutch backs might have you worried about losing a gemstone or earring. For a more secure earring, we can replace a friction clutch with a threaded post.
We can also replace the setting that holds your gemstone in place. Sometimes, designers choose settings that aren’t appropriate for the type, cut, or size of the gemstone. Martini settings (three prongs in the shape of a martini glass), for instance, look beautiful, allowing you to see more of the diamond and less of the metal, but they’re not appropriate for all sizes of diamond
Rings that have seen a lot of wear as well as rings with particularly unusual or delicate designs may develop structural issues. Exposure to moisture or chemicals, improper storage, and decades of accumulated wear and tear can leave you with cracked or loosened gemstones, scratched metal surfaces, and worn out, weakened jewelry.
